Glycemic index

I was reading a book and came across the Glycemic Index.

Foods with low GI are broken down by our body in a longer time - that is why when we eat certain foods we do not feel hungry for a long time, whereas if we eat food with a high GI we feel hungry very quickly. That is because our body takes quicker to break it down and HUNGER strikes quicker :)

It is very important for us to resort to healthy eating and healthy lifestyles.
